FILEPREMISE

Answers about file tools and privacy.

Help center

Are all FilePremise tools free?

Yes. All current tools are free. There are no paid accounts or usage-based fees. Browser memory and file-size limits still apply.

Where are my files uploaded?

Nowhere. This version processes selected files in your browser and has no upload endpoint. PDF libraries may be downloaded from a CDN; the application never intentionally transmits your file data.

Are my files saved in a database?

No. FilePremise has no database. Only anonymous, local usage counters are stored in this browser. Files are not saved in browser storage.

Why can some PDF tasks take longer?

PDF rendering and large documents consume memory and CPU on your device. The tool shows progress, applies limits, and avoids server uploads.

Does compression always make a PDF smaller?

No. Image-based compression may make a PDF larger and may remove selectable text, links and interactive fields. Always keep the original.

How does the analytics dashboard work?

The built-in dashboard displays only counts from the current browser, not global site traffic. Connect your own GA4 property to collect site-wide usage in Google Analytics.

Are third-party ads currently active?

No. The website includes clearly labeled ad placeholders only. Ads and advertising cookies should be configured after approval and consent review.

Can I use FilePremise offline?

Image and ZIP tools work after the site and its libraries have loaded; PDF tools currently load additional PDF JavaScript libraries from a CDN, so their first use needs internet access.
